Great King Street Edinburgh
This is our first traditional style bathroom. I would like to thank David and Karen for putting their faith in Serenity Bathrooms to carry out the design and refurbishment of this New Town flat.
The clients were very involved from the outset, with a very distinct view of what they wanted to achieve, many of the fittings were sourced from the USA where the clients stay most of the year. We did find this a challenge as the fittings were delivered to us by courier, we did not know what to expect as we opened each package. many of the fittings had us scratching our heads. The antique table with the marble top arrived a couple of months before the taps (faucets) and the basin, the marble top was drilled to accept the fittings and pre assembled and tested in our workshop before being dismantled and packaged up ready to go to the job when required. The shower enclosure (stall) has a Simpsons black slate effect tray, the enclosure is bespoke with the glass work made to measure and the tile trim was powder coated to a satin black finish, the shower valve assembly is from Catchpole and Rye. The roll top bath was a reclaimed tub that we had re-surfaced, the feet were powder coated in a satin black to match the shower trim, the room benefits from underfloor heating. The images don’t do the bathroom justice, the finish is to the highest standards. The clients flew over so that we could go through the fitting locations of all the accessories, the look on there faces made up for all our hard work, our can do attitude sets us apart, it is very rare that we cannot deliver what the customer wants, laziness and lack of product knowledge by others seems to have a bigger part in whether something is possible or not, rather than the actual physical restrictions.
